Our Story
Hi, we're Tom and Anne. In 2008, we started this blog as a way to share our love of good food and staying active. Tom is an orthopedic surgeon with a passion for functional fitness. Anne is the creative force behind our recipes—she believes that healthy eating should never mean bland eating.
In 2012, Tom was diagnosed with cancer. That battle changed everything. We learned firsthand how powerful real food and gentle movement can be—not just for the body, but for the spirit. This blog became our journal, our therapy, and eventually, our mission: to help others discover that taking care of yourself is one of life's greatest joys.
How We Test Products
Every piece of gear we recommend has earned its place in our kitchen or home gym. We don't accept sponsorships or free products in exchange for positive reviews. If we link to something, it's because we've used it—often for years—and genuinely believe it can make your life better.
